On 19 December 2018 members of the Club DX which functions within the Child Rights Centre presented children’s opinions on what should be included in the National action plan for children to the President of the Child Rights Council of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Slavica Đukić Dejanović.

A special methodology has been created to gather opinions of children from 5 towns: Belgrade, Kragujevac, Niš, Novi Sad and Užice. A total of 250 children have expressed their opinions on possible ways of improving their lives in Serbia through carefully designed workshops. The topics covered included improvement of quality of care and protection of children from all forms of violence and discrimination, child participation, children’s health care and children’s leisure time through cultural, educational, sport and recreational activities.

This meeting was organized in the context of the project “Child Rights in Policy and Practice”, implemented by the Child Rights Centre in partnership with the Save the Children International, funded by the Government of Sweden.
