Annual Conference of the Eurochild network was held

The representative of the Child Rights Centreparticipated in the annual General Assembly of the Eurochild, a network of organisations and individuals working to improve the quality of life of children and young people. The meeting was held in Brussels on 5 and 6 April 2017. The Assembly adopted the Strategy on the participation of children and young people, with the aim to ensuring participation of children and young people in accordance with Article 12 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Sean O’Neill from the UK was elected as new member of the Board of Directors of the Eurochild, and three new members joined the network: Estonian Union for Child Protection, Latvian Network for the Protection of Children and the Children’s Rights Alliance from England.

The Child Rights Centre is a multi-year full member of the Eurochild, which facilitates mutual learning, exchange of experiences and best practices among organisations in order to improve the welfare of the child, its protection and participation in society.
