On 12 March 2015 at the Center for protection of Infants, Children and Youth members of the “Club for healthy changes” organized a meeting with the staff of the Centre, in order to examine the needs of children and youth with disabilities and plan an action of advocacy for realising their rights.
During the meeting the children and young people from the Club introduced to the interlocutors the project “Empowering children and young people with disabilities to improve responses to child abuse and neglect”, conducted an interview and informed employees on what to pay attention when they come into contact with young people with disabilities, how they should address them and how they can engage them. After the meeting, members of the Club visited the youngest beneficiaries of the Centre.
The meeting also resulted in the agreement on realization of joint event, which will be attended by children and young people from the Club and children who are currently at the Center for Protection of Infants, Children and Youth. The event is scheduled for 26 March 2015.
