On Friday 23 January 2015, at the Child Rights Centre, the third meeting of the National Working Group of the project Empowering children/ young people with disabilities to improve responses to Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN)was held. The main task of the Working group is development of the Guide for understanding and implementation of the General Protocol for the protection of children from abuse and neglect in a situation where the protection is provided to a child with disabilities.
During the meeting the group members discussed all prepared materials and inputs of the professionals received during the Trainings “Protection of children and youth with disabilities from abuse and neglect”, and according to the Guide for understanding and implementation of the General Protocol for the protection of children from abuse and neglect in a situation where the protection is provided to a child with disabilities.
Also during the meeting members of children and youth group presented their recent work and shared with the group members their experiences as cotrainers from the trainings for professionals, as well as their impressions about the process of preparation Easy read material – A book for children and youth to help them understand what abuse and neglect means.
