16.10.2017.

Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, UNICEF, Judicial Academy and Child Rights Centre continue with the implementation of information sessions financed through the program IPA 2013 of the European Union.

Information sessions on “How to achieve a child-friendly justice – children’s participation in civil proceedings and the assessment of the best interests of the child” were held in the High and Basic Courts in Kraljevo and Uzice and in the Judicial Academy in Belgrade. The information sessions were attended by representatives of the judiciary, social protection and law practice.

These information sessions, as well as many other activities related to the improvement of child rights in civil court proceedings, present one of the objectives of the project “Improvement of child rights through the strengthening of the judiciary system and social protection in Serbia,” funded by the European Union and implemented by UNICEF in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs. Key partners in the implementation of activities aimed at improving the rights of the child in the civil court proceedings are Judicial Academy and the civic association Child Rights Centre.
