Implementation: September – November 2013
Project was implemented by the Judiciary Academy with financial support of International Management Group and in partnership with the Child Rights Centre
During September 2013, as part of the Judicial Academy’s project, the Child Rights Centre has conducted five workshops in order to prepare materials customized to minors on the rights and obligations they have in the institutions of the educational measures and juvenile imprisonment. The workshops were attended by juvenile offenders who were given an institutional educational measure of committal to an educational institution, remand to a correctional facility and juvenile detention. Objectives of the workshop were to determine how much and how juvenile offenders understand their rights and responsibilities in the institutions, what additional explanations are necessary for them to understand what rights and obligations they have and to examine in what form and in what way they would like to be informed about their rights and obligations.
On the basis of the workshops custom materials were prepared, which were adopted by the Council for improving the work of the criminal proceedings and the enforcement of criminal sanctions against minors.
