Project title: Promoting Child Well-being in Protection from Violence

Implementation period: 1 January 2024 – 31 December 2026

The project aims to improve access to and the quality of mental health and support services provided to children who are at risk of violence or have already been exposed to violence.

Ten municipalities across Serbia will be included in activities focused on training professionals from the education, social protection, and health sectors, as well as raising awareness among children, parents, and caregivers about the importance of mental health and the prevention and protection of children from violence.

Through programme development and cooperation with children from different schools across the country, a digital platform and brochures will be developed to educate children on protection from violence and mental health preservation. In parallel, a public campaign will be implemented to communicate key messages on the importance of children’s mental health and the need for prevention and protection from violence.

The overall goal is to improve access to services and early identification of risks in order to ensure that children receive timely and adequate support. By strengthening the capacities of professionals across different sectors and empowering local communities, the project contributes to advancing children’s rights and well-being, enabling safer and healthier lives for children.
