On Thursday 26 March 2015 children and youth self-advocates from the “Club for healthy changes” organized the games and musical activities for the youngest members of the Center for Protection of Infants, Children and Youth, Belgrade. Together with Club coordinators and emplozees of institution, members of the Club for Healthy Changes dedicated time, love and attention for 29 of the youngest residents of the institution. During their get-togeter members of the Club presented their activities in the project “Empowering Children and Young People with Disabilities to Improve Responses to Child Abuse and Neglect”.
Spending time with children was the continuation of involvement of members of the Club to the testing of needs of children and youth with disabilities in order to plan future advocacy. This gathering was preceded by a meeting with the staff of the Center for Protection of Infants, Children and Youth at which club members learnt more about this vulnerable group, as well as who is responsible for taking care of them and implementation of their rights.
