On Tuesday 7 October 2014, at the Child Rights Centre the second meeting of the National Working Group of the project Empowering children/young people with disabilities to improve responses to Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN)was held.
In the first part of the meeting the group members had the opportunity to share information and experiences with guests from the organization Change (UK) specialised in empowering people with intellectual disabilities for self-advocacy.
The second part of the meeting was devoted to further identification of elements and content of the Guide for understanding and implementation of the General Protocol for the protection of children from abuse and neglect in a situation where the protection is provided to a child with disabilities, and which development is the task of the Working group.
