The Agreement on inter-sectoral cooperation in the implementation of the General Protocol for the protection of children from abuse and neglect in the city of Belgrade

The Agreement on inter-sectoral cooperation in the implementation of the General Protocol for the protection of children from abuse and neglect in the city of Belgrade was signed on 20 February 2014 in the Belgrade City Hall.

Work on drafting the Agreement was implemented during the 2013 within the project “Protection of children from violence in South East Europe”, in partnership with UNICEF office in Belgrade and with the financial support of the European Commission.

Process of drafting the agreement was initiated by and with the technical support of the Child Rights Centre. The Agreement was signed by Secretaries of the Secretariat for Social protection, Secretariat for Education and Child Care and the Secretariat of health of the City of Belgrade, the director of the City Centre for Social work, Chief of Police of the city of Belgrade, Head of School Administration of the City of Belgrade, Director of the Autonomous Women’s Center and on behalf of the Child Rights Centre its president.

Signing of the Agreement created conditions for the improvement of the operation in the field of prevention of violence against children and their protection from abuse and neglect in the territory of Belgrade by the responsible departments and institutions.
