The process of drafting the Model Protocol for the prevention and protection of children and youth from violence in sport – fifth meeting of the Working Group held
The fifth meeting of the Working Group in the process of drafting of the Model Protocol for prevention and protection of children and youth from violence in sports was held on 21st of January 2014 in Belgrade. The Working group was formed by the Child Rights Centre within the project “Prevention and Protection of Children from Violence in Sports”, which is funded by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia through the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) program.
The fifth meeting of the Working Group was organised with the aim of finalising the Model Protocol for prevention and protection of children and youth from violence in sports and achieving operational agreements about the preparation of the final conference.
Text of the Model will be completed by the end of January, after which its publishing and presentation will be organised to the wider public at the conference covering themes of improving the system of protection of children and youth from violence in recreational and sports activities planned for march 2014. The Model protocol will be delivered to the relevant ministries as the starting point for development of sub-laws, which will enable its more efficient use.
